Denpasar, May 8, 2024 – A total of 440 electric cars for the 10th World Water Forum have arrived at Benoa Port in Denpasar, Bali. State-owned enterprise (BUMN), PT Pelindo (Persero), dealing with port and logistics services, Sub Regional Bali and Nusa Tenggara were responsible for delivering the vehicles that will be used for the activities of the 10th World Water Forum delegation in Nusa Dua, Bali from May 18 to 25, 2024.
We provide the best service as a form of commitment and support for the important activities of the 10th World Water Forum," said the PT Pelindo Head of Bali and Nusa Tenggara Subregion, Fariz Hariyoso, in Denpasar on Wednesday (5/8/2024).
A total of 440 electric cars were sent to Benoa Port via Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta. Hundreds of these new and luxury cars were transported on the vehicles carrier motor ship KM Aishakamilah on a journey to the Island of the Gods.
The red-painted jumbo ship docked at the port of Benoa on Tuesday (5/7/2024), where 440 electric cars were loaded and unloaded by Wednesday.
The electric car, which was sent especially for the 10th World Water Forum, has four brands manufactured by international automobile companies. The electric cars were then lowered one by one through the ship's ramp doors.
The car was then inspected by the relevant officials and taken to the parking lot of Benoa Port in Denpasar before being taken to the main venue of the 10th World Water Forum in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency.
The World Water Forum is an international meeting attended by a range of water resource stakeholders, including the government, parliament, leaders, multilateral institutions, politicians, academics, civil society, business representatives and so on.
Around 35,000 delegates from 193 countries around the world are expected to attend the 10th World Water Forum in Bali under the theme of "Water for Shared Prosperity".
This forum has six main sub-themes, namely water security and prosperity, water for humans and nature, disaster risk reduction and management, governance, cooperation and water diplomacy, sustainable water financing, and knowledge and innovation.
