Badung, 21 May 2024 — After the high-level meeting of heads of state following the Opening Ceremony was held yesterday at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC), Nusa Dua, the fourth day of the 10th World Water Forum on Tuesday, 21 May, will continue with a series of high-level panel discussions as well as political, thematic, and regional discussions.
The high-level panel discussions will be attended by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut B. Pandjaitan, the Minister of Public Works and Housing M. Basuki Hadimuljono, the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, the Minister of Environment and Forestry Siti Nurbaya Bakar, the Former President of Slovenia Danilo Turk and the Director General of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tri Tharyat. The panel discussions will take place from 8:30 AM to 6:10 PM local time at the BICC and Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Nusa Dua.
Afterward, several roundtables and bilateral meetings with various countries will take place. Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut is scheduled to meet with the delegation from the United Arab Emirates. Bilateral meetings with the President of Fiji and the Deputy Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea will follow.
Several side events will also be held during the fourth day of the 10th World Water Forum in Jakarta A & B, Kintamani 1, and Hibiscus & Frangipani meeting rooms. In addition, special sessions will be held in Mengwi 7 & 8, Kintamani 1, Medan, and Kintamani 7 meeting rooms.
Earlier on Monday morning, 20 May, at the opening of the 10th World Water Forum High-Level Meeting, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko “Jokowi” Widodo stated that the 10th World Water Forum must serve as momentum for countries around the world to revitalize concrete actions and joint commitments by sharing knowledge, promoting innovative solutions, and realizing integrated water resources management.
