Nusa Dua, May 23, 2024 - The 10th World Water Forum International Photo Exhibition, presenting the 70 selected photos from the 10th World Water Forum International Photo Competition, takes place from May 18 to 24, 2024 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center BNDCC) I, Bali.
The International Photo Competition of the 10th World Water Forum with the theme "Water for Shared Prosperity" received a total of 4,416 entries from 902 participants from 53 countries.
Ismail Abdul Muttalib from Indonesia was selected as the main winner with the highest score in the competition. For this reason, he is entitled to receive the special blue pin of the FIAP (International Federation of Photographic Art) and prize money of 5,000 US dollars.
"All the photos on display show the real situation of current environmental conditions and remind us that we all need to protect nature and the environment to secure water supplies in the future," said Agatha Anne Bunanta, Photographic Society of America (PSA) Vice President, as one of the judges of the 10th World Water Forum International Photography Competition, on Thursday (5/23/2024).
She emphasized that this event is a positive forum for the photography community to advocate for the sustainability of the world's water resources.
“The 10th World Water Forum provides a space of expression for the photographic community from around the world to make a real contribution to efforts to raise awareness of water issues and is a source of inspiration for us all," she added.
The judging of the photo competition was conducted
from April 26 to May 2, 2024 by six professional judges from several countries,
namely Agatha Anne Bunanta, Johnny Hendarta and Robert Lie from Indonesia, JR
Schnelzer from the United States, Romain Nero from Luxembourg and Riccardo Busi
from Italy.
