Badung, May 25, 2024 – The 10th World Water Forum in Bali, which took place from May 18 to 25, 2024, was not only a meeting place to discuss global water management issues, but also a platform for the exchange of experiences and best practices between countries in water management. China, for example, showcased its successful restoration of the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers at the 10th World Water Forum Fair and Expo at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC).
Visitors were greeted by the huge "China Water" sign on the roof of the China Pavilion. Large-screen televisions and detailed presentations on the pavilion’s panels allow visitors to learn about the Chinese government's water management, including the restoration of the Yangtze and Yellow Rivers.
The process of restoring and managing China's two longest rivers in China began in 2019. This year, China unveiled its action plan to protect and restore the Yangtze River as the country pushes forward environmental protection. At the same time, the country has introduced ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin as a key national strategy.
The Vice President of China Water and Power Publishing and Media Group Ltd, Li Zhongfeng, admitted during a meeting at the Chinese Pavilion that he was happy, proud and excited because his pavilion had been visited by the Indonesian Minister of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) Basuki Hadimuljono some time ago.
“Minister Basuki was impressed when he visited our pavilion," he said. "We are also very happy to be able to participate in this forum," said Li Zhongfeng on Friday (5/24/2024).
Li Zhongfeng said that photos, videos and various information in the China Pavilion can also be accessed through the sensor code available in the pavilion or through the official website https://waterexpo.digiwater.cn/#/
