Jakarta – World Water Council’s President Loïc Fauchon held a meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno to discuss the preparations for the 10th World Water Forum during his visit on Monday (25/03/2024).
World Water Council President Loïc Fauchon said that the 10th World Water Forum needed support and assistance all Ministries and Institutions. "The 10th World Water Forum will target the presence of 2,000 journalists and will also invite prominent figures such as Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Angelina Jolie." Loïc said.
He Added that the attendance of the influential people aimed to increase the prestige and international exposure of the event. Therefore, Loïc hopes that Indonesia, through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, could earnestly anticipate the event, so that it would create a perfect experience and good impression for the attending delegates.
Information Required for the Delegates
He further elaborated the importance of seamless visa application for the delegates. "It is necessary for us to facilitate the participation of delegates by firstly providing the complete and easily accessible information and application procedures related to visas," said Loïc.
Furthermore, Loïc also hoped that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy could provide information regarding the best hotels in Bali. "We believe that Bali as a popular tourist destination offers a varietyof the best hotels," he added.
Responding to this matter, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno also emphasised the importance of clear and easy process of visa application procedures. "We will prepare a clear system and procedures regarding visas to facilitate delegates to attend the 10th World Water Forum in Bali," said Sandiaga.
He also added that Bali has plenty of accommodation options with high quality facilities and hospitality as well as an inclusive environment.
Commitment to Sustainability

“We do realise that environmental sustainability is very important for the tourism sector. Therefore we carried out various environmental conservation such as coral reef restoration in coastal areas and mangrove trees planting projects." said Sandiaga Uno.
