Nusa Dua, May 20 2024 – Hundreds of Balinese dancers and artists took part in the Bali Street Carnival on Monday (5/20/2024) under the theme "Samudra Cipta Peradaban” (The Ocean Creates Civilization), accompanied by live gamelan to welcome the delegates and participants of the 10th World Water Forum.

The route of the parade started in front of the Pasifika Bali Museum, then passed the stage of honor in front of the SOGO Department Store and the Bali Collection Department Store and ended on the road east of the Devdan Show Building, covering a distance of about half a kilometer. The passing parade also attracted the attention of domestic and foreign tourists as well as people living in the area.

Minister Sandiaga was joined on the stage of honor by the Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Dewa Indera, and several invited guests who enthusiastically enjoyed the performances of Balinese artists from various traditional Balinese studios.

"The Bali Street Carnival was organized to create beautiful memories for the participants of the 10th World Water Forum," said Minister Sandiaga.

Armine Hovhannisyan, a delegate from Armenia, said he was thrilled with the performance of the dancers at the parade. “This is extraordinary. We feel like we have received a very warm welcome in Bali," he said.

“The dances in this cultural parade were created especially for the 10th World Water Forum. With the theme "Samudra Cipta Peradaban”, the Bali Street Carnival is an effort to promote the importance of the oceans and the parades symbolize the glorification of the sea as the source of universal prosperity and the origin of civilization,” said Bali Street Carnival senior coordinator Kadek Wahyu Dita.
