Introducing Cinta Laura,Communication Ambassador for the 10th World Water Forum

Cinta Laura, the Indonesian-German actress, singer, and environmental activist, has been appointed as the Communication Ambassador for the 10th World Water Forum. This inspirational figure is expected to kindle the spirit of youth in addressing the global water crisis.

Getting to Know Cinta Laura

Born in Quakenbruck, Germany on August 17, 1993, Cinta Laura Kiehl made her debut in the entertainment world through participation in fashion shows. At the age of 13, she became a finalist in the Top Model 2006 competition.

In the subsequent years, Cinta ventured into acting, achieving stardom after starring in the soap opera "Cinderella (Is Love Just a Dream)" in 2007. She was then honored as the Top Artist at the SCTV Awards.

Cinta Laura also explored music, releasing the OST album for the soap opera "Tears of Love" in 2009, alongside Afgan—a renowned Indonesian male singer. Her fame further escalated through endorsements for products like Pucelle perfume and Samsung.

Beyond her success in acting and singing, Cinta delved into business, establishing the fashion brand CLK which garnered immense success across Southeast Asia.

Cinta Laura’s Achievement 

Aside from her endeavors in business and entertainment, Cinta Laura excelled in academics, graduating cum laude from Columbia University with dual bachelor's degrees in Psychology and German Literature within three years.

In 2019, she was appointed as the Ambassador for the Prevention of Violence against Women and Children by the Indonesian Ministry of Women Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA), earning recognition for her positive, intelligent, and caring advocacy.

Currently, Cinta Laura serves as the Communication Ambassador for the 10th World Water Forum. Renowned for her commitment to social and environmental causes, she has actively participated in events like the World Clean Up Day in Jakarta in 2023.

Establishing a foundation for children

Cinta Laura's dedication to her surroundings is evident. Despite her busy schedule, she found time to teach English at a remote elementary school near Mount Salak, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Additionally, she founded the Soekarseno Foundation in honor of her late grandfather, focusing on education. Since 2006, the foundation has established 10 elementary schools and one junior high school.

With her passion and dedication to social issues, Cinta Laura inspires the global community, particularly the youth. Her presence at the 10th World Water Forum is expected to catalyze tangible actions toward a sustainable water future.
