World Water Council Launched the 10th World Water Forum Report and World Water Warrior's Guide in Jakarta

Jakarta, 27 February 2025 — In a series of events "Follow Up Meeting of the 10th World Water Forum: From Bali to Riyadh and Beyond" held on February 27-28, 2025 in Jakarta, the World Water Council officially launched the 10th World Water Forum Report and the World Water Warrior's Guide.

During the ceremony, the President of the World Water Council Loïc Fauchon said, “The 10th World Water Forum Report and Water Warrior’s Guide aim to bring together the largest gathering of water warriors in the world to collect and present solutions for water challenges.”


“Our goal is to provide many people with better access to water and inspire them to take concrete action to ensure the quality and safety of water as a form of respect for every human being,” he added. 

Furthermore he said that many solutions and projects have been studied and prepared so that they can be replicated for the world.

“Let’s be water warriors, take the initiative and act. This World Water Warrior’s Guide serves as a tool for transformation into impactful action and as a strategic blueprint for water security action,” he concluded. 

Director General for Water Resources of the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works Lilik Retno Cahyadiningsih added that, “The 10th World Water Forum Report and the World Water Warrior’s Guide serve as a call to global action as well as a catalyst for transformation to meaningful action through flexible, scalable and customised solutions for water across all sectors and regions.”

“Indonesia has demonstrated its strong commitment to equitable access to water and resilient water infrastructure for all and will continue to do more,” she affirmed. 


Also present during the ceremonial launching of the 10th World Water Forum Report and World Water Warrior’s Guide, the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz Alshaibani.

Overview 10th World Water Forum Follow-up Meeting

The 10th follow-up meeting of the World Water Forum was held in Jakarta on February 27 and 28, 2025 to promote the sustainability of global cooperation in water governance. The event, which was attended by ministerial-level stakeholders, representatives of international organizations and experts from the water sector, formed a bridge between the 10th World Water Forum, which was successfully held in Bali from 18to 25 May 2024, and the 11th World Water Forum, which will be held in Riyadh in 2027.


The two-day follow-up meeting was opened by the President of the World Water Council Loïc Fauchon and the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Water Retno Marsudi and continued with various events, including the presentation of the 10th World Water Forum.
